A flat finish starts with the details: where you place the row, how you measure the weft and what you check before closing each bead. This five-part Signature Weft tutorial series takes salon professionals through those moments, one short lesson at a time.

Meet the Signature Weft

The Hadrill Signature Weft uses a butterfly weft construction designed to move with the natural hair and create a fuller finish without unnecessary bulk. Each weft contains 50g of hair, measures 22 inches in length and has a 35cm width before customisation.

Its flexible construction is designed to sit flat against the scalp. The final lesson shows the finished result and how the hair can move up and down after installation.

The application details

Five short tutorials from our Signature Weft education. Use them alongside the complete training module for the full application sequence.

Respect the no-go zone

Leave enough natural hair around the hairline and above the ears to conceal the weft. In the demonstration, the educator uses approximately two finger widths as a guide when creating the horseshoe row. Watch how the section follows the head while preserving the hair needed for coverage.

Measure, then cut

Start with a clean, balanced section. Measure the weft against the row and maintain the same distance from the hairline on both sides. The tutorial then shows the weft being cut to the required length, ending with an even number of holes for application.

Check before you clamp

Before closing a bead, check that the strands have been pulled through correctly and that no hairs are crossed. The educator closes the top section of the weft to inspect the work, then clears stray hairs before continuing along the row. This check supports a clean finish and client comfort.

Secure the corner bead

The corner deserves the same attention as the rest of the row. This lesson demonstrates the end section, the strands brought together through the bead and the bead alignment. Watch the final adjustment carefully: the educator releases the tension slightly before clamping.

Check the flat, flexible finish

See the completed installation with the hair lifted and lowered. The demonstration shows the Signature Weft sitting flat and the movement that allows the client to wear their hair up after installation.
